Family:  Awesome wife Diane (my child bride) and two ornery but great kids, Valerie & George.  Very blessed to have a great Son-In-Law, Bryan, and my new Grand-Son, Brayden, who is just wonderful and a hoot to be around! 

Pets:  Misty and Molly . . . our Black Lab “pups” regardless of their age . . . and of course, their neighborhood friends, Lucy, Luke, and Gabby!
 
Interesting Facts:  I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a Military Police Sergeant in 1970. I was last assigned to the Headquarters Company and the Pentagon, which was an incredible experience!   I am so grateful our military and their families today are treated with the gratitude and respect they so richly deserve.   After my enlistment in the military was up, I began my business career in finance and spent nearly three decades in various positions in banks and at CEFCU. In time however, the industry changed quite a bit and I discovered the “fun factor” was no longer there for me.   A direction change was in order which eventually lead me into the pool and spa industry. Wow, what a difference that has made.   Although I missed many friends when I left, I have found a home and career with many new friends in many states!
 
What is the most enjoyable part of my job?  As D & L’s Sales Manager, I really enjoy meeting prospective customers that are looking to provide themselves or family with an “entertainment center” where they can enjoy family values together. Forget the big screen T.V. or the vast array of mind numbing electronic games or gizmos; they are part of the problem! We do offer a solution though… a Swimming Pool or Spa…or BOTH! With so many in the area to choose from, however, it can get very confusing for a consumer.   The fantastic pools and spas we offer insure our customers will receive the comfort, relaxation, and therapy they are seeking. The quality of our products and the availability of our expert service department if the need would ever arise, guarantees the longevity and value they should expect with the purchase of such a product.   If you buy from D & L Pools, you deal with D & L Pools. Not some second or third party! Just us! We put up your above-ground pool. We construct your in-ground pool. We install your spa. And we service everything ourselves! Peace of mind is very peaceful, indeed!      
 
What is the most frustrating part of my job? When someone I’ve been working with decides to purchase from a “Big Box Store” because of price or a “Sale”…and they come back in a month or so saying “Oh how I wish we would have bought from you!” There is so much more to consider than just the price of a pool or spa, or the number of jets or “gimmick” a spa offers. Price is important but there are times, if you pay too little, you may lose everything because what you get doesn’t provide what you wanted or needed. I truly believe our prices are fair to all parties. If you pay a bit more here it is because you’ll get more here. Whether it is a swimming pool or a spa.
